TERMS OF USE
Last updated: August 26, 2026
These Terms govern your use of outdoorreeducation.com and related educational materials provided by Outdoor Re-Education. By using the site, you agree to these Terms.
EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE ONLY
Website articles, photographs, quizzes, plant information, field notes, videos, and other materials are provided for general education. They are not a substitute for professional botanical identification, medical advice, emergency training, legal advice, or direct instruction from a qualified professional.
PLANT IDENTIFICATION, FORAGING, AND MEDICAL SAFETY
Never eat, touch, harvest, prepare, or use a plant solely because of website content, a photograph, quiz result, common name, or automated identification. Confirm identity through multiple reliable sources and, when appropriate, a qualified local expert. Plant chemistry, toxicity, allergies, environmental contamination, similar-looking species, preparation requirements, and individual health conditions can create serious risks. Medicinal and ethnobotanical information describes educational or historical context and is not treatment advice.
FIRECRAFT, BUSHCRAFT, AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Fire, cutting tools, water crossings, navigation, weather, wildlife, and outdoor travel involve inherent risks. Follow current laws, land-manager rules, fire restrictions, permits, Leave No Trace practices, and safe supervision requirements. Do not perform a technique beyond your training, equipment, health, or conditions.
EVENTS AND EXPERIENCES
Participation in an Outdoor Re-Education event may require separate registration terms, waivers, safety instructions, and cancellation policies. Those specific terms also apply and control where they conflict with these general website Terms.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise identified, original website text, branding, graphics, photographs, videos, course materials, and other original content belong to Outdoor Re-Education or are used with permission. You may view and share ordinary links for personal, noncommercial purposes. You may not reproduce, sell, scrape, republish, train an automated system on, or commercially exploit protected content without written permission. Third-party materials remain subject to their stated licenses and attribution requirements.
QUIZZES AND USER CONDUCT
Quizzes are learning activities and do not establish field competency or positive identification. Do not misuse the site, interfere with its security, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, or use automated means to extract content in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Links to external websites, platforms, maps, videos, and resources are provided for convenience. Outdoor Re-Education does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or practices.
DISCLAIMERS
The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees of completeness, accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free operation. Information may become outdated and regional conditions vary.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Outdoor Re-Education and its owner, instructors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
CHANGES
We may revise these Terms. Continued use after an updated date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
