Foraging
Plant walks & workshops

Choose an instructional walk for plant identification or a hands-on workshop built around gathering and processing available resources.

Public guided plant walk — $30 per person
2–3 hours · No minimum · 20-person maximum · Children under 12 attend free
A walking, discussion-led experience in a local park. Robert introduces useful plants, identification patterns, habitat, lookalikes, and responsible harvest practices. These walks are primarily instructional rather than collecting-focused.

Private property plant walk — $50 per person
Hosted on the requester’s land · Group pricing may vary · Group size arranged by inquiry
Explore the plants growing on your own property. The route, timing, group needs, and site conditions are reviewed before a date is offered.

Foraging workshop — Starting at $300
Private land with suitable resources · Hands-on gathering and processing · Custom planning required
A more physical program that may include picking, digging, cleaning, processing, or preparation. The available plants, season, property access, and learning goals determine the final format and rate.

Bushcraft
Practical skills sessions

Focused training in useful outdoor systems, offered in local parks where permitted or customized for a host’s private property.

Public bushcraft session — $50 per person
2–3 hours · Maximum 6 participants · Local park · permissions permitting
A small-group session that may focus on fire skills, cordage making, safe knife and axe skills, primitive traps, shelter systems, or another agreed skill set.

Private land training — Starting at $300
Hosted on the requester’s property · No standard participant cap · Custom planning required
A tailored program shaped by the property, group, available materials, safety considerations, and desired skills. Scope and final pricing are set after a detailed conversation.

Wilderness survival
Cold-season excursions

Seasonal small-group overnight field excursions in the Southern Appalachians. Locations are selected based on conditions, participant readiness, land-use requirements, and available authorization, and are shared only with confirmed participants. Excursions are offered only on approved public lands or by arrangement on suitable private property.

Single-night excursion — $500
Maximum 4 participants · Late fall through early spring · Pre-trip discussion required
An intensive overnight focused on shelter construction, strenuous fire preparation and maintenance, knife and axe skills, water sourcing and treatment, campfire cooking, navigation, and wilderness mindset.

Two-night excursion — $1,500
Maximum 4 participants · Choose one of two progressions · Pre-trip discussion required
Choose an introduction to camping followed by a survival overnight, or primitive survival-skills training followed by a survival overnight. Both options build toward applying essential systems through two full nights outdoors.

Private acreage option — Custom quote
Several wooded acres recommended · Site review required · Seasonal and limited
Survival training may be possible on a requester’s wooded property when the acreage, access, resources, terrain, and safety conditions support the program.
